Second Hand Microsoft Licences Approved.
I recently read about a company "discount-licencing" who are exploiting a loop hole in the Microsoft terms and conditions. It allows them to transfer Volume Licensing from one company to another, saving money.
Software has been costing companies more than the hardware, yet it is an asset and should be treated the same as hardware.
My company, Britannia Zinc Ltd, was closed 3 years ago. All the hardware was sold - yet all the software was lost as the company was not aware that any licences could be transferred.
It's legal to transfer software licenses from a downsizing company to an active one. "Discount Licensing" have been buying up licences from involvent firms and selling them to active businesses.
