The MicroLink dLAN Highspeed Starter Kit is a first of its kind, it operates by sending network data signals over the existing power cabling of your home or office with data transfer rates of up to 85 Mbps. Simply plug the MicroLink adapter into any electrical power socket to access the network.
To set-up a network with the dLAN HighSpeed Starter Kit could require no cabling (other than from the dLAN to the PC or switch) or to extend an existing network to another floor of a building with a connection that is faster and more reliable than wireless.
If more PC's need to be added in more locations, it is simply a case of adding another MicroLink dLAN adapter in the required location. The dLAN system is not restricted by thick concrete walls unlike wireless networking and has a range of up to 200 meters.
Devolo's system also includes automatic DESpro encryption which password protects your network from eavesdroppers.
