Veritas Backup Exec 10d, now Symantec Backup Exec 10d is the backup software of choice by BrightCity. 10d is the latest version of the product.
A wizard will guide you through most tasks, such as how to setup your media library, configuring your backups, and restoring your files. The backup jobs are stored in a detailed database, allowing the display of accurate records of what can be restored and from what media.

Backup Exec 10d for Windows Servers will backup your file and print system. With add-on agents, such as Backup Exec Exchange Agent, it will also backup Microsoft Exchange Server.
Backup Exec 10d for Windows Small Business Server is a suite of the main program and the agents required to deliver a total backup system for SBS. The suite features backup, restore, disaster recovery, single drive library support, Exchange Server, SQL Server, and SharePoint Services features.

Storage Hardware
Backup Exec requires at least one storage media drive and/or single-drive robotic library and the appropriate controller card. Removable storage devices and non-removable hard drives can also be targeted for backups. Note: Support for a single robotic library drive is available when you purchase Backup Exec. To enable support for additional robotic library drives, you must purchase Backup Exec Library Expansion Option.
